A man and woman were attacked by burglars this morning while they slept inside a home in the citys Lovejoy neighborhood.
The man, who was visiting the home in the 1000 block of East Lovejoy Street, suffered cuts to his body and arms and his left eye. He was being treated today in Erie County Medical Center.
The woman, who lives in the home, suffered bruising and swelling to her neck after she was choked by one of the burglars. Police said they believe the woman knew her attackers and the incident may have been fueled by a domestic issue.
Ferry-Fillmore District police reported that two men broke into the home at about 12:55 a.m., setting off the homes Burglar alarm system. The assailants struck the man repeatedly with a hard object and one, after choking the woman, threatened to kill her.
No items were apparently stolen during the break-in--- from Wow Power Leveling.
